PHILADELPHIA >> A Folcroft man, identified as a second suspect in the July 19 robbery and attempted sexual assault of an 82-year-old woman in her Philadelphia home, is in police custody in Philadelphia.

Raheem White, 30, who has a last known address in the 1900 block of Carter Road in Folcroft, was arrested Wednesday in the 2200 block of North 17th Street in Philadelphia, according to a release issued by the Philadelphia Police Department.

On Monday, authorities arrested Darius Johnson, of the unit block of Wildwood Avenue in East Lansdowne. He was at the Carter Road residence in Folcroft when he was taken into custody, authorities said.

Both White and Johnson are charged with attempted rape, burglary, robbery, simple assault, risking a catastrophe, conspiracy and related offenses in connection with the home invasion/sexual assault.

It was about 8 p.m. on July 19 when two black men wearing towels over their heads forcibly entered the woman’s home in the 6000 block of Samson Street, sexually assaulting her before taking several items from her home.

The case was investigated by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.
