NORWOOD — A man who was struck and killed by a train near the Norwood Station Sunday afternoon was identified as a Ridley Township resident, and his death was ruled a suicide, according to Norwood police and the Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office.
According to police, he parked his car in the lot and then walked in front of the southbound Amtrak Acela train, about 4 p.m. The incident occurred just south of the Norwood station.
No one on board the train, which was traveling from Boston to Washington, D.C., was injured.
Train travel in the area was delayed as police investigated the incident.
