MARPLE — Two high-ranking administrators at Delaware County Community College have resigned from their positions.
College President L. Joy Gates Black sent out an email on June 25 announcing that Provost Monica Parrish Trent and Vice President of Administration & Treasurer Carlos Garcia have stepped down from their positions, reportedly for family reasons and to pursue other opportunities, respectively.
College spokesman Anthony Twyman would not confirm these resignations, citing personnel reasons.
Trent had served as the college provost since June 2018, coming from Montgomery College in Maryland before her one-year stint at DCCC.
Garcia has served a number of positions over the past eight years he has been at the college. He has served as its vice president for administration and treasurer since February 2018, according to his LinkedIn page.
